FERRO Klima

THE CLIMATE FRIENDLY DOOR CORE FOR A CLEANER ENVIRONMENT

FERRO Klima external door blanks and SANDWICH Climate door panels from Moralt save fossil resources and energy in production. Their excellent ecological balance is based on the use of almost 100% renewable raw materials. Even the insulation insert is made of light, pressure-resistant and heat-insulating solid wood. This binds CO2 and reduces the greenhouse effect. Thanks to its high, ecologically valuable thermal insulation and its special components, it creates the best conditions for a “feel-good climate”. The 2-part flat steel stabilizer is insulated with pressure-resistant light wood, prevents thermal bridges and thus also prevents condensation problems. FERRO Klima has Passivhaus approval and achieves the best values in all performance classes according to EN 14351-1. Rely on Moralt FERRO Klima for future generations.

FERRO Klima combines energy efficiency and ecological balance with unique perfection. In addition to the stringent requirements for low-energy and Passivhaus, Moralt's FERRO Klima also meets the highest demands of responsible and climate-conscious homeowners. Use these increasingly growing markets as part of your plan for greater success, and create the best environment for your and your children’s future.

Flat steel stabilizer

A flat steel stabilizer consisting of two flat pieces of steel grooved into the wood and glued over the entire surface. This works according to the static principle of tension and compression.

Advantages compared to a U-shaped steel and square profiles:

  • No thermal bridge due to thermal separation of the two pieces of steel .
  • Free of cavities, so no condensation forms inside.
  • The flat steel stabilizers do not show on the surface even when the building moisture is high.
  • Low weight by avoiding unnecessary steel joints.

  • Fire Resistance, it has a natural flame retardant additive that prevents combustion and slows the spread of fire.
  • Acoustic insulation, it absorbs noise.
  • Thermal mass, it can prevent heat from escaping in the winter and overheating in the summer.

LVL core middle layer

The LVL core with upright-standing annual rings, consisting of approx. 5 mm wide peeled veneers glued together. The optimum strength is attained through offset joints within the inner core layer.

Advantages:

  • Highest strength values from the offset laminated joints.
  • Optimum surface smoothness thanks to the even distribution of the individual veneers and the consistent position of the annual rings.
